Tender called on 05.01.2007. Tender was not received and re-tender called by TWAD.  Sewerage treatment plant site selected at Ramaky and  Kekkarai Village 44.56 Acres land selected .The District Collector Tiruvarur Convene the Land owners  meeting to fix the rate of land value Rs. 600 per cent . Necessary Proposal submitted to Government through CMA and Land Revenue Commissioner , Chennai  for getting permission for purchase of land. Pumbing Station situated in five places viz Ramakey, Arasan Kulam , Kulunthankulam, Vijayapuram Chettykulam and Kidaramkondan. 

Disposal of Night Soil is normally by way of individual facilities and liquid waste (Sullage and Kitchen Waste) is through the open drains. The main mode of individual disposal in the town is through septic tanks, low Cost Sanitation units and through public conveniences.
